Thoothukudi collector Vishu Mahajan has transferred 20 tahsildars and special tahsildars in the district revenue unit, citing administrative reasons.
Under the order, Ottapidaram SIPCOT special tahsildar (land acquisition) N. Srinivasan becomes Eral revenue tahsildar; Ettayapuram SIPCOT special tahsildar (land acquisition) N. Jayalakshmi becomes Ettayapuram revenue tahsildar; Tiruchendur special tahsildar (elections) S. Anthony Jeparaj becomes Vilathikulam revenue tahsildar; Kovilpatti excise officer S. Arivazhagan alias Sivaraj becomes Kovilpatti revenue tahsildar; and Kovilpatti revenue tahsildar R. Appanaraj becomes Kayathar revenue tahsildar.
Sathankulam special tahsildar (elections) S. Thangasamy becomes Tiruchendur tahsildar, and Tiruchendur tahsildar S. Thangamari becomes Sathankulam special tahsildar (elections). Kayathar revenue tahsildar M. Balasubramanian becomes Kayathar special tahsildar (elections). Kayathar special tahsildar (elections) C. Malarthevan becomes the Kovilpatti excise officer. Eral revenue tahsildar M. Selvakumar is posted as assistant manager for TASMAC retail sales in Thoothukudi.

The collector has ordered the officers to join their new posts at once, and has said no appeal will be entertained.
