“Nobody can threaten me”: Durai Vaiko answers K.N. Nehru

Tiruchi: The argument between the DMK and the MDMK has sharpened again after shifts in alliances. MDMK principal secretary Durai Vaiko has answered criticism from former DMK minister K.N. Nehru.
Speaking to reporters in Tiruchi, Durai Vaiko accused the DMK of deliberately sidelining his party while they were allies. He said a coalition meeting had tested their self-respect, and that he had objected.
He also said, “I came into politics by accident. I take these responsibilities for the party workers.”
He pointed to Nehru’s earlier speeches
Answering K.N. Nehru, Durai Vaiko said Nehru had in the past criticised DMK leader M.K. Stalin and Udhayanidhi Stalin. “Nehru is the one who belittled the present leadership by saying the DMK ended with Kalaignar, and who said of Udhayanidhi, ‘You cannot do politics with this boy,’” he said.

Durai Vaiko said personal criticism and slander were being aimed at him, and that he would not be frightened by it. “If you trouble me, I will speak about everything. I will do opposition politics even faster,” he said.
The exchange is again drawing attention in Tamil Nadu politics.
